Hardin to Cody

Sat 11th June

Left Hardin to head for Cody today via Pryor and Edgar, two small towns. The idea was to do a 16 mile stretch of dirt road with John before we went our separate ways.

We were quietly cruising along an empty road when we came face to face with this…….

No signs. No people warning the traffic. The planes were crop sprayers using the road as a runway to reload. This was the 2nd one, after we had retreated, the 1st one was a lot closer. No Health and Safety over here.

We found the dirt road which are always fun to ride on.....

…..Craig and John coming over the hill

We stopped at Edgar for lunch and had more beefburgers. It is actually quite difficult to get hot food over here which is not fried one way or the other......

…..we said our good byes to John, who started heading back towards Seattle whilst we went off in the opposite direction.

We pulled into a Motel carpark only to discover that Craig had picked up a puncture. The first of the trip and hopefully the last

This evening we went to the Cody Rodeo where some skilful antics were performed by cowboys on……

……….bucking horses

.....and bulls
