Minimalist Touring

The morning dawned with clear skies and was pleasantly warm again. Spent the first few hours loading the bikes in the hostel back garden to the amusement of the residents as the gear was spread all over the grass. On the way out half the kit went with the bike and the rest we brought with us on the plane.

As you can see from the above picture, all the pre planning and shakedown runs have paid dividends. Only the essentials were packed!

It was good to be on the road and once out of Calgary the scenery got more and more stunning. Below is where we have stopped for the night, the Hostelling International site in Banff. I have included the photo with the sole intention of winding Terry up so he makes a speedy recovery and gets his ar** out here.

What more could you ask for?

  1. Wow looks stunning :-)

  2. I can't quite believe how much stuff you have on that bike!! good job on the packing!
