There was a hint of a blue sky first thing this morning but by the time we had decided what to do the rain had returned with renewed vigour.

Hotel gardens

The hotel where we stayed last night is a touch of luxury at an affordable price. The gardens are a gardener's delight with a huge variety of plants, whilst the rooms and lounges wouldn’t disgrace a stately home. It didn't take much to persuade us to book a second night.

The area is famous for its flora & fauna, colourful birds, relatively cool climate and treks into the jungle and mountains.........

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t conducive to go off exploring into the hills or forests, all we managed was a walk into town.........

............at home it would be the perfect day to sit in the lounge with a cup of coffee, listening to the rain and reading the Sunday papers in front of the log fire..
